Pamela Cotton, Ph.D.

Thursday, December 8, 10:00 - 11:30am

Grief can be debilitating. And yet it is part of the path of being human: the death of a loved one, struggles with dementia, challenges of disability, miscarriage, the passing of a dear pet, among many others. The holidays often bring up grief, either because someone dear is missing who has typically been part of the occasion, or something triggers a memory of a loss in your life. In this presentation, learn the difference between normal and complex grief including practical tools of self-compassion to assist you in this journey toward peace.

Join author and psychologist, Dr. Pamela Cotton, to share highlights of her newest e-book, Grief: Finding Peace. All are welcome, whether you are dealing with a loss within yourself or in someone you love.

Cost: $15 each person; Bring a friend and pay $20 for two!

Pamela Cotton, Ph.D. is trained in clinical psychology and had a psychotherapy private practice for many years.  She studied meditation in several traditions and incorporated mindfulness into her work with her clients. Pamela shifted focus from clinical practice to writing and coaching, integrating mindfulness with resilience development.  She has written several books, including Mindful Resilience and Compassion in Leadership.  Her coaching clients learn to use current life challenges as opportunities for growth and personal transformation.  She greatly values personal development and continues her own studies and meditation practice.
