Celebrating International Day of Peace

Thursday, September 21, 2017, 12:30 – 2:00pm

An initiative of Drepung Gomang Center for Engaging Compassion that is gathering in Saints Hall of St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, 330 N. Hubbards Lane, Louisville, 40207

What is nonviolence in action? How does it connect with growing compassion? After lunch students and visitors will engage with a panel presentation featuring Mayor Greg Fischer and other local civic leaders and share dynamic dialogue with students and community members.

At the conclusion, all present will help with the launch of Nonviolent Compassionate Louisville.

This Free event is for all.  It opens the third annual 12 Days Toward Peace, International Day of Peace (September 21) to International Day of Nonviolence (October 2).  See more on Facebook TwelveDaysTowardPeace or elsewhere on the website.
