What is so compelling about this country called the World’s Third Pole?  How does the culture and the human rights struggle of Tibet, located high in the Himalayas, affect Louisvillians right now?  Learn more about Tibet from compelling speakers, experience traditional music, enjoy a taste of Tibetan food and visit a Tibetan market.

Dhondup Wangchen, Tibetan filmmaker imprisoned in China for his documentary work

Nawang Khechog, Tibetan flutist, internationally recognized musician

Dr. Keith Mountain, PhD, Glaciologist at the University of Louisville

Tenzin Namgyal, President, Tri-State Tibetan Association and Tibetan interpreter
