4 Wednesday Mornings, 10:00 – 11:15am, August 22, 29, September 5 and 12, 2018
From recent studies conducted by neuroscientists to the news reports that meditation helped the young boys trapped in a flooding cave, the benefits of meditation have become well known. Physicians now recommend it to their patients for its physical as well as mental benefits. It has become one of the most important habits to cultivate in order to develop a healthy lifestyle.
In this class, you will learn the techniques to build a meaningful meditation practice of your own or reinforce your existing skills. In Mindful Balance Melanie will share the knowledge and experience of her years of teaching to help you develop a practice that feels effortless and easy to incorporate into your daily life. She uses the ancient technique of mantra-recitation for its simplicity. This four-session class is part of DGCEC’s compassion education offerings that are taught from the perspective of no single religious tradition.
