iRest with Chrissy Leake

FREE INTRO SESSION

June 13, 8:30 - 9:30am

Based on the ancient teachings of meditation, iRest  is an evidence-based transformative practice that leads to psychological, physical, and spiritual healing and wellbeing.  Its practice is integrative as it heals the various unresolved issues and traumas that are present in your body and mind, and restorative as it enables you to recognize your innate peace of mind that is always present amidst all changing circumstances of life.

iRest  provides tools to help deep relaxation, releasing stress, increasing resiliency, improving interpersonal relationships and providing greater mastery and control in life. It nourishes noble qualities such as joy, peacefulness, empathy, forgiveness, patience and loving kindness toward oneself and others.

iRest  is an evidence-based, mind-body approach that is the result of thirty years of observation, research and hands-on development by Dr. Richard Miller and associates:  www.iRest.us There are no yoga positions involved with iRest – one may practice sitting or lying down.

“When my baby boy was born prematurely and weighing not even 2lbs, I felt that nothing could have prepared me for the months ahead. It was in the darkness that I turned to my iRest practice and the tools it had given me.  Life will continuously deliver us challenges; it’s how we deal with those challenges which will ultimately determine our life’s path and the joy we receive in its wake.  My iRest practice has supported my emotional resiliency and determination, knowing that I can face even the toughest lessons that life has to offer.” - Chrissy Leake, iRest Yoga Nidra Level II Teacher

Chrissy Leake is an iRest® Yoga Nidra Level II Teacher as well as a Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance at the 200-hour level.  After her initial experience as an iRest student, it became evident to her the transformative qualities that the practice had to offer and she has been committed to expanding her own iRest practice as well as sharing it with others ever since.  Chrissy loves being a Mama, all things yoga, anything outdoor, reading, writing, learning, making art, creating spaces, alternative healing, conversations about life and why we are here. She resolves to remain curious about life and to continue being in love with the Mystery as it unfolds.
