iRest with Chrissy Leake

FREE INTRO SESSION

Thursday, March 5, 9:30 - 10:30am

Based on the ancient teachings of meditation, iRest  is an evidence-based transformative practice that leads to psychological, physical, and spiritual healing and wellbeing.  Its practice is integrative as it heals the various unresolved issues and traumas that are present in your body and mind, and restorative as it enables you to recognize your innate peace of mind that is always present amidst all changing circumstances of life.

iRest  provides tools to help deep relaxation, releasing stress, increasing resiliency, improving interpersonal relationships and providing greater mastery and control in life. It nourishes noble qualities such as joy, peacefulness, empathy, forgiveness, patience and loving kindness toward oneself and others.

iRest  is an evidence-based, mind-body approach that is the result of thirty years of observation, research and hands-on development by Dr. Richard Miller and associates:  www.iRest.us There are no yoga positions involved with iRest – one may practice sitting or lying down.

“It’s always beneficial to connect/reconnect with yourself and pay what you’ve learned forward. That’s exactly what iRest and DGCEC did for me.” Michelle, August 2019

“An excellent supplement to daily meditation practice.” Claire, February 2019

“Excellent introduction to meditation. Patient instructor with gentle guidance in meditation practice. Would recommend to others.”  Doug, September 2018

Chrissy Leake is an iRest® Yoga Nidra Level II Teacher as well as a Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance at the 200-hour level.  After her initial experience as an iRest student, it became evident to her the transformative qualities that the practice had to offer and she has been committed to expanding her own iRest practice as well as sharing it with others ever since.  Chrissy loves being a Mama, all things yoga, anything outdoor, reading, writing, learning, making art, creating spaces, alternative healing, conversations about life and why we are here. She resolves to remain curious about life and to continue being in love with the Mystery as it unfolds.
