Wednesday, September 29, 11:00am – Noon, DGCEC’s Zoom

Do you feel small in the face of blatant injustice, bullying tactics, or violent language and behavior?  Are you afraid that nothing you do makes a difference?

Join this one-hour workshop to learn some vital tools of this compassion trade and how your choices DO transform your world.  Contemporary Science of Compassion, and research in brain plasticity proves that our choices to extend compassion and expand gratitude help form a mind and heart that is based in non-harm, and that can make a substantial difference.

This Nonviolence Tools Workshop is a FREE offering for those in need, but a $10 donation is appreciated.  Register here or call 502-614-5616 to receive the Zoom link.

Our Facilitator, Anne Walter:  Seeking to be a bridge-builder between cultures, religious traditions and communities, Anne has served in interfaith, social justice and peace-focused ministry for over 30 years.  As a student of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, she was honored to serve as the Chair of Engaging Compassion, His Holiness’ multi-day visit to Louisville in 2013.  Anne is the Director of Drepung Gomang Center for Engaging Compassion and a Certified Teacher of Compassion Cultivation Training© (CCT) of Compassion InstituteTM and Stanford University.

"Compassion and Gratitude" Nonviolence Tools Workshop is one offering of DGCEC’s 12 DAYS TOWARD PEACE 2021. Explore the other events and opportunities to expand your experience and practice of nonviolence by visiting DrepungGomangUSA.org or Facebook.com/12DaysTowardPeace.  DGCEC’s 7th annual 12 Days effort launches on Tuesday, September 21 on International Day of Peace and continues through International Day of Nonviolence on Saturday, October 2.
