Join the Sacred Arts Tour Monks newly arrived from Drepung Gomang Monastery in India

Traditional "Mani Stones" can be any size, which may be painted or carved near sacred places. The image shows a large Mani Stone painted with the Compassion Buddha mantra “Om mani padme hum," which is frequently repeated asking for the qualities of wisdom, compassion, and a good heart. Learn how these prayer stones are a physical representation of positive conditions such as long life, health and success.
Adults are welcome to register for this workshop in which the Drepung Gomang Sacred Arts Tour monks will teach participants how to create images on flat stones and decorate them with sacred mantras.
Cost: $30 which includes materials. All proceeds help provide food, housing, education and medical care for the 2000 refugee monks at Drepung Gomang Monastery in India.
