Chod Practice for Clearing Obstacles with Visiting Tibetan Nuns

You are invited to join us for this special Tibetan Buddhist Chod Practice for clearing obstacles and negativities. 

It will be led by the newly arrived Jangchub Jamtse Tour from Jangchub Choeling Nunnery in India. This group is visiting the US for the first time - please help support them!

Chod is a practice developed by Machik Lapdrön, the great female saint and yogini of eleventh- to twelfth-century Tibet. She developed this system, the Mahamudra Chöd, that takes the Buddha's teachings as a basis and applies them to the immediate experiences of negative mind states and malignant forces. Her unique feminine approach is to invoke and nurture the very "demons" that we fear and hate, transforming those reactive emotions into love. After the ceremony, the nuns will talk about their lives at Jangchub Choeling Nunnery in South India.
