This extraordinary video captures the magic of Tuesday. May 21, 2013 when DGCEC hosted a special event at the Kentucky Center for the Arts called “Youth Engaging Compassion - Dialogue with the Dalai Lama”. Representatives of nearly 150 area schools, about 2400 young middle and high school students, attended this discussion with His Holiness the Dalai Lama, focusing on engaged compassion and how we can transform our life and our society through living compassionate lives. Three high school students addressed His Holiness and all who were gathered, then His Holiness responded with compelling encouragement. On Sunday,
May 19 this year we mark the eleventh anniversary of His Holiness’ visit to DGCEC and Louisville. Join us to watch this record of an important gathering during his two day visit.
