DGCEC welcomes Geshema Yeshi Sangmo, the leader of the first Jangchub Jamtse Tour in the US, visiting from Jangchub Choeling Nunnery in Mundgod, India. She will offer this teaching in three sessions, using the important text “Eight Verses of Training the Mind” by Geshe Langri Tangpa.
Following the teaching, the Jangchub Choeling Tour members will begin the opening ceremony of a Buddha Akshobhya Mitukpa Sacred Sand Mandala.
Geshema Yeshi Sangmo completed her Buddhist philosophical studies and earned a Geshema Degree, which is equivalent to a Western PhD in Buddhist Philosophy. Geshema was one of twenty nuns in the first class (2016) of Geshemas who were awarded this significant degree. She also completed one year of Tantric Studies.
