Wednesday, September 25, 8:00am to 8:00pm
Opening and Intention Setting: 8:00am
Marking Each Hour Until
Closing and Dedication During Community Meditation: 7:00pm
Each hour is led by a representative of an organization / group or community member: sometimes led with stories of peacemakers to encourage us, with wisdom through scripture from many traditions, or with prayers, song, chant or silent meditation. Help us mark this intention to grow nonviolence – personally in our thoughts, words and actions – and in our community. Join us in this effort, hour by hour, here in our center, in your home or at your workplace.
12-Hour Vigil for Nonviolence is part of DGCEC’s 12 DAYS TOWARD PEACE 2024. Explore the other events and opportunities to expand your experience and practice of nonviolence by visiting Facebook.com/12DaysTowardPeace or DrepungGomangUSA.org. DGCEC’s 10th annual 12 Days effort launches on Thursday, Sept 21 on International Day of Peace and continues through International Day of Nonviolence on Monday, Oct 2. We are pleased to collaborate with Pace e Bene’s Campaign Nonviolence Action Days nationally.
We may feel small, but our efforts can transform both our own hearts and those around us. Together we are growing nonviolence in our city!
