Join us for our second annual
Trek for Tibet
Saturday, March 8, 9:00 - 11:00am
Register for this 5K walk around the Windy Hills Loop to raise awareness about human rights abuses inside Tibet.
Occupied by Communist China since 1959, Tibet has been designated as the least free country in 2024 (by Freedom House). Over 700 Tibetan are political prisoners, imprisoned for standing for basic human rights, for caring for the Tibetan lands, for opposing the wanton destruction of schools and temples, for forcing children into boarding schools where they are stripped of their culture and language, or for having a photo of His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
Register to receive more information! Donation Sliding Scale: $10, $20, $30 or Sponsor Leve: $100. Children 13 and under are free. Tibetan Freedom Bracelet and information for all walkers.
On March 8, Sign In between 8:30 and 9am at DGCEC, 411 N Hubbards Lane, Louisville, KY 40207. The walk begins at 9am.
