Celebrating International Day of Peace
Sunday, September 21, 1:30 - 3:00pm
Opening Event of DGCEC’s Twelve Days Toward Peace 2025
Celebrate International Day of Peace by being inspired by People Power and nonviolence efforts. During this relaxed event enjoy tea and creative “coloring pages” that will help us explore together a range of contemporary issues like discrimination and prejudice, civil rights and racial justice, labor history, immigrant justice, youth-led organizing, intergenerational movements, and nonviolent action.
In this free Teach-In you will learn about the wide and deep history of efforts for change using nonviolent means, while sharing discussion, coloring images of the stories, and drinking tea.
People Power, Coloring and a Cup of Tea is the opening event of DGCEC’s 11th annual Twelve Days Toward Peace, which is part of Pace e Bene’s Campaign Nonviolence Action Days.
Register HERE to Attend or call 502-614-5616. This event is offered for free in the spirit of generosity. You are invited to consider a reciprocal gift to help support 12 Days Toward Peace and the ongoing work of compassion-building and nonviolence education at DGCEC.
We may feel small, but our efforts can transform both our own hearts and those around us.
Together we are growing nonviolence in our city!
DGCEC’s 11th Annual Twelve Days Toward Peace begins with International Day of Peace on Sept 21 and concludes with International Day of Nonviolence on Oct 2.
