Grief is a natural process that bears no timelines or general rules. And mindfulness is a powerful tool to navigate this path by accepting, rather than resisting, painful emotions and experiences. Ancient wisdom traditions speak of grief as a lifelong companion. How do we hold hands with our grief as we walk through life? Living with loss is a gradual journey of healing that requires patience and self compassion, hope and acceptance.
Join Jenny for this single session workshop in which participants will explore how mindfulness can assist with grief tending. Through acceptance of feelings, present moment focus, and emotional regulation we can decrease the difficulties on the journey of grieving. Learn compassionate practices for grieving mindfully.
This session is open to those experiencing loss in many ways, whether it be loss of a relationship, a career, loss of health, of identity, or a loss through death. You may be grieving change, or grieving aging, or grieving family estrangement. There is no loss too small or too large.
All are welcome to this evening of shared grief tending. Invite a friend who is on a grief journey so we can all walk together. Remember to bring your note taking materials. Please note that this class is not intended to be a therapeutic session.
Cost on a sliding scale – please pay what you are able: $25, $35 or $45. Some partial scholarships available: DrepungGomangCompassion@gmail.com. Register HERE or call 502-614-5616.
