Special Dharma Teaching

We are honored to welcome Gerardo Abboud for this teaching on the Four Dharmas of Gompopa.
This famous concise teaching by Gampopa subsumes the characteristics of the different paths to Buddhahood. However, in relation to oneself as a practitioner, it indicates the evolution that takes place in terms of objectives and progressively deeper approaches to the realization of the ultimate truth of our being.
The teaching will be held over four sessions: Friday, 6:00-8:00pm; Saturday, 10:00am-12:00pm and 2:00-4:00pm; Sunday, 10:00am-12:00pm. It will be recorded for those who miss sessions.

Gerardo Abboud: Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, into a Christian family, Gerardo Abboud was educated as an engineer and worked as a financial analyst at Ford before he made a dramatic change in his life. In the 1970s he traveled to India and resided there and in Nepal for 14 years as a student of Buddhism and of the Tibetan language. His desire was to leave behind the “life of promotions, high salaries, and consumerism” in order to discover the richness within himself. Back in Argentina in 1986, Abboud was nominated president of the Dongyuling Center, which offers free teachings in Buddhist theory and practice. He has served as the Dalai Lama’s interpreter in Latin America since 1992.
