An introduction to the skills and tools that change our lives and the world

Curious about nonviolence? Find out what it is and what it can do for you. From practical skills to useful tools, this one-time session explores the meaning of nonviolence and how it can help you in personal relationships, conflicts in community, and social change. Nonviolence is a way of life, a set of principles, a collection of practices for navigating conflict, and a toolbox for making change. “Engaging Nonviolence: Understanding Nonviolence” is one of three modules in Pace e Bene’s core course series, designed to lay the groundwork for a deeper understanding of nonviolence as a philosophy and practice.

In this stand-alone session we will talk about the five dimensions of nonviolence, conflict styles, and look at some of the history of nonviolence. Want to learn more? Register also for "Engaging Nonviolence: Using Nonviolence in These Times" on Tuesday, Nov 18, 6-8pm and "Engaging Nonviolence: Gandhi, King and Beyond" on Tuesday, Dec 2, 6-8pm.

Cost on a sliding scale; please pay what you are able:  $25, $35, $45 or free if needed. Register HERE or call 502-614-5616.
