Tuesday, November 18, 6:00 – 8:00pm, via Zoom

An introduction to the skills and tools that change our lives and the world

This class offers insights into the building of what Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. called “the Beloved Community.”  We will explore through input, discussion and roleplays how everyone carries some “pieces of the truth”, how to work with challenging emotions in the practice of nonviolence, using a de-escalation process called CLARA.

Nonviolence is a way of life, a set of principles, a collection of practices for navigating conflict, and a toolbox for making change. DGCEC offers “Engaging Nonviolence: Using Nonviolence in These Times” as the second of three modules that introduce the practitioner to Pace e Bene’s core course, Engaging Nonviolence. Want to learn more? Register also for "Engaging Nonviolence: Gandhi, King and Beyond" on Tuesday, Dec 2, 6-8pm.

Cost on a sliding scale; please pay what you are able:  $25, $35, $45 or free if needed. Register HERE or call 502-614-5616.

Brian Martin is a retired Registered Nurse and holds a doctorate in higher education and adult learning. He lives with two dogs, a cat, and goldfish. He believes that nonviolence is compassion in action.
