Winter is an invitation to heal, rest and renew. In our modern times, though, it seems, there is no such thing as boredom anymore. How can we create space for inquiry, contemplation, and introspection if we are never allowing ourselves time and space to do nothing?
This workshop will discuss the ways mindfulness assists us in rest and retreat, how mindfulness practice is at the heart of the art of wintering well.
The evening includes hands on mindfulness exercises, such as: walking meditation, mindful eating, gratitude journaling, creative expression, mantra chanting, somatic experiencing, visualization exercises, and more. Awaken your wisdom within, this winter, allow mindfulness to shape your wellbeing! Please bring any notetaking materials.
Beginner friendly: all are welcome.
Cost on a sliding scale – please pay what you are able: $25, $35 or $45. Some partial scholarships available: DrepungGomangCompassion@gmail.com. Register HERE or call 502-614-5616.
