Transformative. Rewired. Renewed joy in life and relationships. Skills for well-being.
CCT is a unique and compelling 8-week process that helps you develop your qualities of compassion, empathy, and loving-kindness. Learn skills for expanding your care for others while building resilience, increasing self-compassion, as well as developing your strength to be with life’s suffering and taking compassionate action.
Each 2-hour session explores training your mind and developing skills for relating to yourself and others by intentionally choosing compassionate thoughts and actions. Enjoy input, in-class exercises, and daily meditation practices to develop these skills, as well as “real-world home practices”.
Find out how CCT’s tools support your own health, happiness, and well-being. CCT was developed by Thupten Jinpa, the principal English translator for His Holiness the Dalai Lama, at Stanford University with a team of contemplative scholars, clinical psychologists, and researchers. Over 400 Louisville CCTers, and thousands around the world attest to its transformative qualities.
What recent students are saying:
"Learning compassion is not just for others. This course teaches you the value of self-compassion. It rivals most traditional Western therapy in its value and usefulness!"
"I find that I am more tolerant and less judging of others' actions."
“The enhanced viewpoint taught in CCT results in a deepening of contentment within. The petty frustrations that easily arise out of judgment and blame can just as quickly be released when using the mental reframing tools taught in CCT.”
PLEASE NOTE: CCT involves a recommended daily guided meditation. A commitment to practicing between classes and attending all 8 sessions is strongly recommended to gain the full benefits of the process.
